These are all services I use. The referral links provide me with a bonus that varies based on the service.

  • Ibotta is one of many receipt scanning services I use. It has a pretty decent interface and can help you get some extra money back on purchases at the grocery store. They also have a service that allows you to earn cash back at other stores by purchasing a gift card through the app using your debit card. So if you are someone who usually just uses cash you can get a little extra money back. Even if you normally use a credit card some stores allow you to get back a higher percentage than you would with your card.

  • Swagbucks is another app I use to scan receipts. Each receipt you scan gives you two Swagbucks which is the equivalent of two cents. It isn’t much but it adds up over the course of a year. They also have a daily survey that gives one Swagbuck and trivia Monday through Friday that you can usually get anywhere from 5-60 Swagbucks. There is a service that allows you to take surveys to earn Swagbucks as well but I always get denied due to my demographic information but you might have more luck than me. They also have a way to earn Swagbucks by searching the web and printing coupons but I also don’t really use those services so I can’t comment on them.

  • Fetch is another receipt scanning app that I use. All receipts give the equivalent of 2.5 cents worth of points. A lot of commonly purchased items give even more bonus points.

Using my referral link will give us both a one time bonus. They have a variety of ways to cash out points including a variety of gift cards.

  • Receipt Hog is another receipt scanning app I use. This one works slightly differently. It doesn’t work for all receipts but I haven’t found many stores that it doesn’t work for. You can get coins, slot spins, and sweepstakes entries for receipts that are accepted. The amount of coins you get depends on the amount of the receipt. The slot spins let you spin a slot machine that can give coins as well.

You can redeem coins for Amazon gift cards, Visa gift cards, or PayPal. The more coins you redeem the more efficient it is with the highest being $40 for 6,500 coins.

  • Coinout is another receipt scanning app. It has some other ways to earn such as opening accounts with other businesses. The interface is very simple and it seems to work with every receipt. You get a random amount of money for each receipt from what I can tell it is about two to five cents for each receipt. If you are already scanning receipts its easy enough to add this to the list.

If you use my link to sign up we both get a bonus. I unfortunately can’t pin down the details of it. The cash out process has a requirement until you complete the right “badges” and then you can cash out directly to a bank account with no minimum. I completed those badges and have had no problem redeeming cash to my account.

  • I don’t get anything for this one but if you are already submitting receipts you can also submit receipts here to support your local school! It doesn’t add much time and it supports a good cause so I highly recommend it. It doesn’t work for everything but I occasionally am able to redeem some items from grocery stores to earn my local school some money.
